Meet Rana Vijendra Pratap S/O Late Satya Narayan Singh, fondly known as Rana, a vibrant and talented VFX Paint Artist with a heart full of passion and a knack for management. Born on May 15, 1989, in Deoghar, Jharkhand, Rana spent most of his formative years in Kolkata for studies. With a whopping 14 years of experience in both Conversion and VFX, he's a seasoned artist with a unique blend of skills.

 

Rana Vijendra Pratap has donned various hats in departments like Roto and Paint, showcasing not only his artistic prowess but also impressive management skills. Despite his busy schedule, he finds joy in indulging in his love for South Indian Food, especially relishing a plate of Chicken Biryani.

 

Beyond the world of pixels and brushes, Rana is a true music enthusiast, particularly drawn to Sufi melodies by Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. His go-to song, "Ye Jo Halka Halka Suroor," holds a special place in his heart. When not immersed in the world of VFX, he enjoys playing cricket, listing Mahendra Singh Dhoni as his all-time favorite player.

 

Rana Vijendra Pratap's love for Fantasy, Adventure, and Mystery movies is evident, with "Rang de Basanthi" topping his list. The late Sushant Singh Rajput, an actor with undeniable talent, is another personal favorite of Rana's.

 

His journey into the world of VFX began with a chance encounter in Kolkata after a cricket match. The sight of a massive MAAC billboard piqued his interest, steering him towards a career in the VFX Industry. Starting as a Colorizer in UNO Digital, Patna, in 2009, Rana's career blossomed. He quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a Senior Roto artist at Primefocus Ltd Goa.

 

Rana Vijendra Pratap's trajectory continued with stints as a paint artist in various prestigious companies like Digital Deluxe, MPC, Ghost VFX, and currently, he's a Senior Paint Artist at ILM, Mumbai, belonging to the core team. Notably, Rana has served as a Co-lead in Deluxe and Ghost VFX.

 

Digital Deluxe and ILM hold a special place in Rana's heart due to their work culture, work-life balance, and friendly environment. Working in these places significantly contributed to his personal growth.

 

Rana Vijendra Pratap's journey in the VFX Industry is dotted with memorable moments. One such highlight is his involvement in the Oscar and VES Award-winning film, "1917." Witnessing his first project, "Clash of the Titans," on the big screen brought immense joy. Casual cricket matches with colleagues at MPC and Digital Deluxe and being credited as the Paint Lead in the movie "XXX" are cherished memories.

 

However, Rana Vijendra Pratap truly made a mark when his panic tweet to Narendra Modi during the first wave of the Corona pandemic went viral in the VFX industry, instantly elevating his popularity.

 

Fully content with his career choice, Rana aspires to be a mentor, sharing his experiences with newcomers entering the dynamic world of VFX. His goal is simple yet profound – to guide and inspire the next generation in the industry he holds dear.
